Congratulations to Melissa Giaquinta on her Clinical Endorsement

A big congratulations to Melissa Giaquinta for being endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist! Melissa has completed specialised study into the assessment and treatment of psychological disorders, and we are proud to have her on the team at Lakeside Psychology.

Clinical Psychologist is a title given to psychologists who undertake specific training in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and psychological disorders, which is a specialised skill. General Psychologists study a broad range of areas in psychology such as normal development, community and social psychology, and general counselling, and they don’t receive much training in psychological disorders. Some General Psychologists also have training and experience in assessing, diagnosing and treating psychological disorders (such as those at Lakeside Psychology), however do not hold the formal title of Clinical Psychologist.
